The MailCalm routing application runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later. If you already have a licence key, download the version that matches the designated Mac, then follow the setup guide to connect the Microsoft 365 mailbox your team uses.
System requirements
macOS 13 Ventura or later. Available for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. This requirement is for the Mac running MailCalm; staff can still receive and handle forwarded messages on Windows, Mac, web or mobile.
Staff do not need the app
One designated Mac actively routes the Microsoft 365 mailbox used by the team. Ordinary staff do not need MailCalm installed or a MailCalm login. MailCalm forwards allocated emails to each selected person’s chosen email address, and the receiving inbox does not have to be Outlook or Microsoft 365.
Mailbox compatibility
Connect the Microsoft 365 mailbox your team uses. This can be a formal shared mailbox or another Microsoft 365 mailbox used as a team inbox.
Signed and notarised for macOS
The MailCalm macOS app is code-signed and notarised, so macOS can verify the app came from MailCalm and has passed Apple’s notarisation checks.

Not sure which Mac you have?
- 1. Click the Apple menu in the top-left of your screen.
- 2. Choose “About This Mac”.
- 3. Look for “Chip” or “Processor”. If it says Apple M1, M2, M3, M4 or newer, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Intel, choose Intel.
Your subscription and changing Macs
The same MailCalm subscription covers either Mac version. If you move from an Intel Mac to an Apple Silicon Mac, or replace your computer, you do not need to buy MailCalm again.
You can install MailCalm on another Mac used by the same business, for example if you replace your computer or need a backup setup. Use the same licence key.
Treat the second Mac as a normal fresh setup: install MailCalm, enter the same licence key, sign in to Microsoft again, choose the Microsoft 365 mailbox again and review or recreate your settings.
For email safety, only one Mac can actively route the same Microsoft 365 mailbox at a time. Treat that computer as the designated routing Mac. Do not copy hidden MailCalm app folders, Microsoft authentication files, token caches, runtime files, logs, router lock identifiers or activity history from one Mac to another.
Windows support being planned refers to the MailCalm routing application itself. Staff can still receive and handle forwarded messages on Windows, Mac, web or mobile.
After downloading
- 1. Open the downloaded DMG file.
- 2. Drag MailCalm to your Applications folder.
- 3. Open MailCalm and enter your licence key.
- 4. Sign in with Microsoft and choose the Microsoft 365 mailbox your team uses.
Verify your download
If your IT team wants to verify the download, use the SHA-256 checksum file for the version you downloaded. MailCalm is also signed and notarised for macOS.
